πόλεως ὄνομα ἣν ἀπῴκησαν Θάσιοι· ἐφ’ ᾖ καὶ παροιμία ἐλέχθη, Δάτος ἀγαθῶν, ὡς οὔσης καλλίστης· ἔχει δὲ καὶ χρύσεα μέταλλα καὶ ἔστιν εὐδαίμων.
