off to Pyrrha with it! — they say the Pyrrhaeans were on bad terms with all their neighbours. So those neighbours, in averting the troubles that befell them by casting them out into Pyrrhaean territory, would cry: "If anything bad — off to Pyrrha!"

Εἴ τι κακὸν, εἰς Πύῤῥαν

Explanation

φασὶν ὅτι οἱ Πυῤῥαῖοι πρὸς τοὺς ὁμόρους πάντας ἀπεχθῶς εἶχον. Ἐκεῖνοι οὖν τὰ συμβαίνοντα αὐτοῖς κακὰ ἀποτροπιαζόμενοι, καὶ ἐκβάλλοντες εἰς τὴν Πυῤῥαίων χώραν, ἐπεφώνουν, Εἴ τι κακὸν, εἰς Πύῤῥαν.
