Τίμαιος φησὶν ὅτι προςιόντας Πυθαγάρᾳ μαθητὰς περὶ τὴν Ἰταλίαν ἔπειθεν ὁ φιλόσοφος κοινὰς τὰς οὐσίας ποιεῖσθαι. Ὅθεν εἰς παροιμίαν ἡ συμβουλὴ τοῦ Πυθαγόρα ἦλθεν.
